Open Cocoacc Through Private Network

You can open Cocoacc Lite from any desktop / notebook / tablet or smart phone which connected to your private network (home network) through WiFi or LAN. In order to do that you need to know the ip address of your Cocoacc server (a desktop or notebook you installed Cocoacc Lite).

  • Click Server IP Address menu on home page.
  • Cocoacc will return you the ip address of Cocoacc Lite server.
  • Enter this ip address on browser address bar of the device connected to your private network (WiFi or LAN).
  • For example, 192.168.1.10
  • You are supposed to see Cocoacc Lite home page on screen. If not, then check out Windows Firewall setting of the machine you installed Cocoacc.

Turn Windows Firewall Off

  • The quickest and easiest way to let all incoming connections is to turn the firewall off. (which is not recommended)
  • Open Control Panel
  • Click Windows Firewall. Your firewall status should be turn on.
  • Click Turn Windows Firewall on or off
  • In Private Network Setting, select Turn off windows firewall option
  • Now you can test entering server ip address on browser again. Cocoacc Lite home page should be appear on screen.

Check Inbound Rule

  • Instead of turn the firewall off, you can check specific service is allowed for inbound connection.
  • Open Control Panel
  • Click Windows Firewall. Your firewall status should be turn on.
  • Click Advanced Settings. The Windows Firewall with Advanced Security window appears on screen.
  • Click Inbound Rule on the left panel.
  • Scroll down Inbound Rules to find and click the World Wide Web Service (Traffic in). Then click Properties on the right panel.
  • Make sure that this service is enabled and allow the connections. Click OK button.
  • Now you can test entering server ip address on browser again. Cocoacc Lite home page should be appear on screen.
