For credit purchase, vendor send you a bill after they have delivered products or service. Use Bill when products are delivered with bill otherwise you have to use Item Receipt. You then convert Item Receipt to Bill when you get a bill. You can create bill from PO or Item Receipt.

For bills to be paid immediately or which have already been paid, you can record with Payment or Credit Card Charge.

For inventory items, Bill updates stock-on-hand if products are not converted from Item Receipt (because Item Receipt have done that). Bill are posting transaction. They post value to your chart of accounts. If there is any variance between Item Receipt and Bill, you can choose whether to post variance to inventory or expense.


Open Bill app from

  • Vendor Menu -> Click Bill icon
